Dates Form

I created a query to do a application search based on date range. The query works; however, the form does not. I'm not sure how to make it work because I do not know VBA. I created a simple application search form for the user to put in a date range. The forms record source is the applicationQ. The two unbound text boxes are formatted for short date. When I click on the form to view, it shows the parameter query box for me to type in a start and end date to pull up the data. Please help. I think this calls for VBA. Here are screenshots.

See Enter Parameter Value

99% of the time it is spelling
1%  of the time Access cant find the field you are referencing.

In your search form those boxes are Unbound.

See the Value From a Form video on how to properly use a form to supply data to your search.

For the query I wanted the parameter box to popup to ask those questions so the user can enter a start and end date and search for specific dates for the application. I don't understand. If I chose the query as the record source for that form then that's what would popup. Heres what im trying to do but running into error with some of the vba. heres a link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFQ6ClG3KUs

Again watch the Value From a Form video I linked above.

I recommend that you follow along and create the db that Richard is building to get the same functionality he is getting before trying to apply it to your db.
That way you have a resource to go back to in trouble shooting.

Check out the Search Form 2.0 or even better the Search Seminar

BTW - While there may be other YT creators out there (Some good, some not so good.)  we can't / don't provide support for their videos.
