Hi Guys,

I'm currently working through the classes, and am up to Access B6 and enjoying it. While i'm waiting for more lessons, i'd like to experiment with a copy of live data that i have which is a spreadsheet with approx 1800 records and want to split it into 2 tables, "Clients" and "Sales".

Is there a particular lesson or video or seminar which covers dealing with bad spreadsheets and importing them into databases? I know how to import but would like to know the finer points so i can get the data in and mess with it.

For example, 1 cell contains "Joe Bloggs and Gill Bloggs" OR "Joe and Gill Bloggs" OR EVEN "Joe Bloggs".

I just want to re-iterate that i understand about not rushing ahead and, yes, i could use false data but I don't intend to start working on a real database until further into the course (Maybe after Expert) - once the data is imported, i'll just try applying stuff i learn in an environment which isn't proprietary to the lessons. This will help me appease the boss man too!

Apologies for.... all the words... Essentially, is there a tutorial on prepping spreadsheets prior to import?
