Storage to Cloud

I live on a small remote island and our internet can be very poor from time to time.
Have you ever encountered corrupt files while it is transferring to the cloud?
I think I have, with the combo box suddenly for no rhyme or reason causing MS Access to stop working and crash. I worked around it by using my back up data.

I always recommend strongly against using Access with cloud-based storage, unless you're copying the file down to your local drive, working on it, and then copying it back up to the cloud for safe storage. See Access Online.

Hi Richard,
Yes thank you. That is what I have been doing from the time started getting issues, as I found that if I worked on a cloud file it appeared to become corrupted. I am happy that you have mentioned that, as I wasn't sure what your thoughts would be on it.
I have also had GoSub issues, but found that if I go into the Sequel statement, wipe it out and type it in again it comes good for some reason.
Our work drives are also Networked and also has some delays. Joys of living on a remote island.

I used to use a Google Drive cloud drive for MYSELF when I had an office (very briefly). I would work at home, and when I was done, copy the file to the Google Drive. The database was only about 200 MB at the time. I had a half-hour drive to the office, so that was plenty of time for it to sync. At the office, I'd pull it down and work there. Push it back up when done. I was the ONLY user, and the database wasn't that big. It beat lugging a laptop back and forth. But that's the ONLY way I'd use it.
