DLookup

I am going to keep at it. I have been taking the expert classes and do not want to move on until I get this Dlookup figured out. I am trying to run
Look up the percentID in the Status Table when the StatusID is what is in the Status ID combo box. Hope I said that right.
PercentID = DLookup("PercentID", "StatusT", "StatusID='" & StatusID & "'")
My percentID is a number, double, percent field to 2 decimal pt.
My Status ID is a short text field.

On my form I brought in the combobox for StatusID when I make a selection in that box it updates my Task table just fine. Now what I need is when I make the selection in the StatusID field, I need the associated PercentID to populate.
I cannot get it to work for the life of me. I am using the after update on the StatusID and using the following code
PercentID = DLookup("PercentID", "StatusT", "StatusID='" & StatusID & "'").

I have also tried using the following code in the control field in the PercentID:
=DLookUp("PercentID","StatusT","StatusID=" & [StatusID])

Both of the examples were in the training videos. Any help is greately apperciated but neither work for me.

Pretty sure your issue is in Double Double Quotes. Concatenation might also help. But what you have listed there is confusing, so will need some more information.

StatusID I'm guessing is a number, not a short text, so it would be "StatusID=" & StatusID

Also DLOOKUP a percentID doesn't really make sense, unless you have a percentage field called PercentID, but that sounds like it should be an autonumber or number ID field, not a percentage. That's confusing to me too. Can you upload some screenshots of your Table in design view? Also a screenshot of that field's properties that you're trying to set so we can confirm the name on the form (field name in the table doesn't always mean field name on the form)

I resolved my Issue, I decided to do a query and I get the results I need. Maybe I was trying to apply DLookup wrong.
