Dear Richard,

I have form where users search for patient's names and if found, the patient basic details populate in a list box. The user then double clicks on the Patient name and the patients details open up on another form (You taught me this in the work order seminar).

Now, i would like to populate the listbox as the user types in the "PtNameSearch" Control. I mean the search should not wait for the user to click OK but should start as he types that patient's name. Under which event would i write my VBA code to achieve this?

Then, i have seen like as you type a search item on google or as you enter an email address during composing, a "virtual" listbox opens. Usually it has the closest matches to what you want to type. Is this possible in Access?
