Access 2007 Split Database

Have created a database to use at holiday programmes for
check-in. We run it off a network with the backend file on a
flash drive in the router, with a copy of the frontend file
on each computer. Now as the supervisor is back working in
the office we need to be able to access just from that one
computer with out the network. How do I do this with
corrupting any data

Answer from Richard Rost:

I'll be honest, I've never tried working off of an Access database on a flash drive before, let alone a flash drive that's plugged into a router. So my hat's off to you for a unique solution to your problem. Nevertheless, all of the file I/O is handled by the workstation PCs. There isn't any "back end" or server processing going on. Just make sure that everyone has closed the Access database before unplugging the flash drive or else you might lose data. That's really about all the advice I can give you.
