Dynamic Combos

I think that I'm slowly figuing this out myself.  The form is a response form for a survey where I plug in the information that is submitted.  Psrt of the survey has to do with household income.  Combo box #1 gets its information from a query and lists possible ranges for income (for example: $25,400 to $27,500).  In the after update for this combo box, I put  requery code that provides the information for the next two combo boxes showing the income label (Low-to Moderate Income) and the average for that label (26,450).

All of this works great.  But, instead of having the last two combo boxes just requery, can I put an additional command in the code so that access will automatically populate the fields?

I'm thinking that maybe I should turn them into text boxes and add a DLOOKUP command after the requery.  As you can tell, now I am all mixed up and don't know how to fix the problem.

That actually sounds like a good idea. If you don't need to SELECT a value for combo boxes 2 and 3, then yes, they should just be text boxes. If you're only displaying that value "low-to-moderate" for example, and the user doesn't need to CHANGE them, then just make them text boxes, and throw in a DLOOKUP in an AfterUpdate event to fill them in.

Multiple combo boxes are useful when the user has to select multiple criteria, and choice 2 depends on choice 1 (pick a state then show cities from that state... pick a car manufacturer then show makes and models from that company, etc.)
