I have tried to make your technique for linking IsQuote to the label you created (and the same thing as the PAID label w/ IsPaid).

I'm using Access 203 and when I'm writing the VBA you use in the lesson the vba does not recognize the caption or visible properties.  When I write:
If IsPaid Then
     PaidStatusLabel.Vis
After typing the dot, vba generates the list of properties available.  However, there is no "caption" property or "visible" property.  What can I be doing wrong?

Have you made sure that the NAME of your label is "PaidStatusLabel"? If you don't give the control a name, then you won't see any of its properties.
