Input Problem
Bruno Segers

Hi everyone,
I have a strange problem and can't find the solution. Is there anyone who has already done this? All tips are welcome.
I have created a tab form in my order form to check my invoices. Very simple table ID - IDorder - Link - Amount - Date. In addition, a viewer to see the invoice. (see screenshot).
two buttons to get the invoice link and one to open them in adobe. At the bottom of the form is the total amount of the invoices, the total of the order and the difference between the two. There is a markup on the last one, when I would pay too much (red) too less (green). So far this all works fine. If I enter the first invoice, no problem. But! There is an problem on the second line. My cursor doesn't want to stay on this. He always jumps to the first. If I manually enter it into the database it goes and I can see the line. But when I click on this line in the form to see my invoice, it immediately jumps back to the first line.
I've been looking for a solution for weeks, but nothing works.
I would appreciate it if someone could help me further.
Manny Thanks, Bruno Segers - Belgium.

What is the "second line"? Which field is that?

Do you have any underlying events that could be messing with things like refreshes+oncurrent or setfocus?

Adam, All rows except the first row are unselectable. No VBA code or Macro programmed in the continuous form.

I've also started with a working continuous form, change the data. And this phenomenon keeps coming back.

I still don't see what you're pushing or the second line. Is it the sub form with the F:\? No matter which one you pick it goes to the top record?

If so, does it happen when you enter the text box? What happens if you just click the record selector to the side does it let you stay there? Does the parent form have any vba firing or timer event?

Hi Bruno, here is a long shot but in your VBA did you requery?  if you did try refresh and see what happens.

Adam, In the same main form I have a Form "Details" where I have no problems. That's why I have no idea where this could be coming from. I don't have timers.
I have clarified the screenshot again.
Thx for taken the time.

Juan, I didn't use "requery" in these fields.
outside the form is a button to find the file link and open the link. That's all. Very strange, don't you think.

Bruno -
My initial thought is that the issue is with your SubForm.
First thought would be that the problem is in the Tab Order.
My second thought is it may be in the permissions of the SubForm  (Form > Properties > Data Tab).

Can you tell us - if you open just the subform are you able to Tab normally left to right through your fields?
Can you go to a new record there or does it still jump to the top like it does in your main form?

The pictures of your form are helpful to understand the function of the form flow but what we really need to see is the code behind your forms - the events, either macros or VBA, that control the flow and what you are doing.
If you could please show us that it would be better.  Other than that we are just trying to guess what it is that you are doing.

Hi Guys,
I started again and checked step by step where things went wrong. As soon as I create the link to display the PDF in the web browser, this problem starts. Ok, then I started looking for how to work around this problem. I created an independent field to which I copied the link. And the problem remained the same. Then I coincidentally copied the data to default value instead of control source. Then I added VBA code to the field to adjust the value when clicked and everything works. Weird .... :-(  but it works. maybe the specialists among us have a better solution? :-).
Thanks everyone for thinking along.  Bruno.
