Dear Richard,
I have developed a Monitoring Database where results for our monitoring are recorded. Using the frequency of monitoring I have developed a query telling me for how long the instruments are overdue. This can be printed on PDF and forwarded to the bosses. However, I want the process to be automated so that at a particular time, the report is generated and sent out via e-mail. Is there a VBA code available that can assist me accomplish this.

Yes, this is certainly possible, but it's a little more complicated than I can go into here. You might be able to find some sample code with a Google search.

I cover sending an email through Outlook in my Access 329 course, however if you're using any version of Outlook beyond 2000, you're going to have security warnings to deal with (where you'll have to click OK to send the email).

Then you'll need a Timer event on a form to have this process automated so it goes out at regular intervals. I cover this in Web Data seminar:
