Multiple Notice Forms
Kevin Whitthread

I have set up a Notice form for when I have out of date items.
How can I set up more of the same for other forms without having to create duplicate "NoticeF"?
Thanks

Take a look at the Too Many Tables

You might also want to watch the Helper Data

Both show how to take basically the common fields / data and use differing forms to do the stuff that is different.
This cuts down on the work you need to do as well.

Thanks, I still need to know how I can have the notice flash up with multiple options for forms that do different things - e.g. follow up calls, dates that have passed.
Hope that makes sense?
Thanks, Kevin.

Kevin -
Do you mean something like Reminder Popup or Reminder Popup by Date?

There are other ways you could do it to without using a timer.  For instance, you could just display a label if certain conditions are met on your form.  The differing techniques are covered through out the courses.  While the TechHelp shows some "real world" examples of how to put all the learning together, if you don't go through the classes you will kind of get lost.
I see that you are headed in the right direction though.  With both the LC membership and the TechHelp Gold you are well on your way.
My suggestion - don't try and get to far ahead to fast. Get the basics down before moving to the next one.
Also, actually build the db as Richard is teaching them.  Seems silly sometimes but you get more out of the courses by doing than just watching.
Plus it's easy to miss little thing like a click here, typing there,  a period vs a comma, etc.

yes, reminder popup by date is what I have in place for one of my forms. How can I have more popups with out copying all the code and having 2 different pop up forms etc?
Thanks

You're going to need to be more specific and probably show us some examples of what your missing and what you want your db to do.
It's to difficult to play 20 questions.  Please lay it out for us like I'm a third grader.

Hi Scott, so I have the reminder pop up set to when a date expires. how can I also have the reminder pop work if I Have a is active button ticket on another form?

If you want to only show one at a time just call them as you need them.
Of course, I am assuming you want to display more than one copy of NoticeF at the same time. If this is the case you will have to create multiple Instances of that form which Richard hasn't covered yet.

I threw together a quick example for you (see screenshot).

Nice work, Kevin. I've actually got this on my Developer outline. Honestly, I've never needed this... but I can see the benefit here. I'm going to straight-up jack your idea. LOL
