Hi, I was watching the Create Your Own Custom Sequential Number with DMAX (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xY3fGgdqQuU&t=0s) and at 32.37, I have my code the same in the afterupdate event. My CustomerOrderNumbers are consistently remaining at 1 and not increasing to the following numbers. Any suggestions welcome!

I'm guessing you're always returning Null and then always setting it to 1 every time with your +1 Underscores can cause issues, first try making that around brackets [tbl6c_Contracts] and see if it works. If not, is customerID a number/autonumber or a string?

Thank you for the quick reply, Adam! I'm still getting the same error with the brackets. The customer ID is a number (long integer). The ordernumber works fine, it's just the customerordernumber.

At 33:34 Richard show the issue of the default value of 0 in the CustomerID. Did you get rid of the Default Value?

Hi Scott, Thank you, and yes, I had removed the 0 default value in the table.
