I am trying to create a database that allows instructors to pull up a title and see past reading assignments associated with that title. Then, I want the instructors to be able to just check a box stating they want assignment 1, 2, etc. How can I get Access to know that Check box 1 is a direct link to the assignment 1 description when I create the query for reports?

If this database is only being used by ONE person at a time, you could make an IsSelected field (y/n) in the table and when the instructor checks the box, the value is set for that title. Then just query the Yes values from that table. Run an Update Query to reset them all to NO when done. That's just ONE method. :)
