Re Used Login ID for Telephony Data

Hi.  I'm trying to pull information from a telephony table.   I'm mainly trying to get a total by day of the calls and talk time for each agent.   There is a limited number of agent Login ID's and when someone leaves, the Login ID is re-used.  I have an agent table that lists the agent name, along with the Login ID and the Start and End dates.   I’m looking to have a query set up that will summarize the telephony information for the agent (based on the Login ID) based on their start and end dates.  

For example, employee A, has Login ID 123.   He makes 46 calls on 10/1 and 76 calls on 10/2.   He leaves and a new employee takes over Login ID 123 on 11/1.  On that day, the new employee, Employee B makes 32 calls.   I need to have the results show the time for Employee A for 10/1 and 10/2 and then for Employee B on 11/1.   

Does this make sense?

I really need some help on this if you have any thoughts.

This makes sense, but do you have a separate field to track the EmployeeID as well? If so, you just need to use an aggregate query to sum up the values.

To do this, use an Aggregate Query... also called a Summary Query or Totals Query. There is a little button on the query toolbar that looks like a wierd "E" (actually the Greek letter Sigma). Press that and you get a new Total row. Just add the fields you want to group by (like customer name or ID) and the fields you want to run calculations on (like SUM, Count or Average) and there you go.
