Video Difference

Did anyone notice that the video lesson didn't properly record the pop up toolbar? Perhaps this is due to the limitation of the video recording software being used at the time?

There are a couple occasions where I noticed this problem. See the picture!

Hendra -

You have great observation skills.  Don't stop asking questions but also don't over think it.  Go with what subject is being taught and not necessarily the fine details of a screen.

Keep in mind that some of the earlier videos were recorded many years a go and are still relevant today.
Over time Microsoft has made subtle changes to the Access software as well as Windows itself.

You might have slightly different personal settings than Richard. He makes certain customization and turns on and off things that are not necessarily relevant to the discussion or that get in the way of what is being taught.

Another possibility is that you missed a click or property setting that Richard made.  I know it's hard to comprehend and see some of the detail in a little recorded screen vs a full sized monitor.

The second picture you posted at the bottom comes from a property setting for Combo Box.  The Allow Value List Edits in combination with the List Items Edit form.

I moved this to the Access Forum.
The Customer Service Forum is for questions and problems dealing with this web site or your account.
From that page:
"Don't post technical questions here (like how do I do this in Access). Post those kinds
of questions in the appropriate Forum."

I moved it Scott as it wasn't Access specific it was more to do with Rich's setup.

Also it is the software he uses, the screen recording doesn't always pick up the pop ups, this it's the frame rate or something. He mentions it in various videos.

I noticed it too but isn't a problem if you're following along and creating the database as well

It's definitely a limitation of the video recording software I was using at the time. These courses were recorded in 2012, and the capture software wasn't as good as what I have now. But yes, like Scott said, keep asking those questions if you're not sure of something. :)
