Can I please put in a big tip to those of you doing any of the lessons and have a default windows setting DD-MM-YYYY to watch Richard's clips on ISO Date Format. (Example Australian or New Zealand users)

ISO Date Format

I have found that any Access Template created in the US using their date format and then downloaded to any Windows configuration of DD-MM-YYYY, can create an issue where any Look up function which uses the date field to manipulate or display information does not work.

It is not readily visible what is wrong, as the date may look OK on your machine as DD-MM-YYYY, and the coding or in my case the DLookUp code was correct and in the format input by Richard, however running the code did not work and had me scratching my head for a long time.

As this is the second time that a function has not worked despite everything being correct, I went into windows and changed my setting to the ISO format and now all the templates work. That is also a Thank you to Kevin Robertson who helped my fix the first issue, by moving the code.

Access does appear to have a problem converting US configuration to in my case Australian formats. It is worth changing the date on your machine to the ISO Date format and will save any frustration or head scratching.
