Hiding Zero Values in Combo Box

Hi,

When picking items to dispatch I have a ComboBox which shows product name/qty/storage bin. Once chosen, it shows the product name.

I'm looking at minimizing data in the ComboBox by removing products with zero stock at hand. My only problem is when I change the criteria to show >0 for stock at hand then it removes all already chosen selections where the stock is currently zero, this could be from an order from two months ago when the stock was there.

Any ideas to have the value chosen remain and still be able to sort by the criteria would be appreciated! Thank you.

To do that, your criterion needs to include not only items whose stock > 0, but also items that have been previously selected. Maybe including some kind of DLookup() function in your criterion might do it, since selected products should be present in one of your tables. For instance: `SELECT ProductID FROM StockTable WHERE Stock > 0 OR DLookup("[ProductID]", "ChosenProducts") Is Not Null;`

Do you have the combo box listed in each row of your order details (subform)? If so, any changes to that data will effect all existing records. What you need to do is copy the product data (including the ID, name, price, etc.) to the order details table as the item is selected. I cover this in Access Expert 22.
