Selected Access Object On Load

First-time poster here.

I'm a bit of a padawan learner as far as Access is concerned. I've used it for a long time at work, but only in a very basic capacity. Basic table, basic form, no vba, no SQL, no queries, no reports.

Just recently I was inspired by one of my colleagues who had auto-generating letters and it blew my mind.

The next thing I know, I'm making a new database with hyperlinks, subforms, normalized data, relational combo boxes, etc.

The thing I'm kind of stumped on at the moment - my database has a log-on screen. once the username and password are submitted and the "main menu" is launched, I tried to put the focus on one of the main options so I can just hit enter to launch the main table my team would work in.

I noticed if I worked on a different form or table, and save the database without selecting the "menu" if I hit enter the next time the database is launched when you hit enter, it triggers the selected item on the "all access objects" rather than the default/favorite option on the form which should be launched as "Setfocus".

Aside from making sure the menu is selected every time I save the database, is there a way to make sure the menu is the item focused on regardless of whatever object was last selected during the last save-state?

Without going into if your VBA setup is right, you could try doing Modal mode for the form, then you can't interact outside of the form.

Modal worked! Thank you very much!
