Richard,
I've been working with your Web Synch and ASP courses and you mentioned a location where you suggest some web hosting locations that also offer ASP.  But it doesn't seem active.
Can you offer some suggestions for registering a site?  I'm very interested in developing a site to share my database.  But I'm a noobie in this area and would appreciate a push towards a reputable hosting service.

I used to recommend 1&1 web hosting, but they jerked me around, so now I not only DON'T recommend them anymore, I actively tell people NOT to use them.

Now I recommend GoDaddy.com. They are just as cheap as 1&1 and so far have provided excellent service (both web service and customer service).

I had to move several of my domains and hosting to GoDaddy a while back because of problems with 1&1 and everything was very smooth. I haven't had ANY problems with them so far (knock on wood) and my sites have been up and quick. You'll notice that the Theater runs on a GoDaddy server and all of the videos load nice and fast.
