So I learned something new this week that apparently I missed a long long time ago.
  
You should not expect forms with tables as record sources, to be sorted in a certain order UNLESS you specifically tell Access to do so.

For years now, I assumed that Access would always grab the first record, first.  And nearly all the time it does, especially if you are compacting a lot.  But...I ran into some trouble in one of my databases that was not retrieving the data in the order that I was normally expecting.  That is, in numerical order of the primary keys.

Some very experienced folks in another form explained in detail what was happening.  I was shocked that I had not learned that.  I suppose you have covered this topic in the past, but somehow I missed it.  Just thought I'd share that.
