Split Database

i will make a few comments then resond to questions if any. I will give an overview here of what we do. we have a backend access database with around 100 tables. we have a frontin database with somewhere around 500 reports, 500 forms 500 queries and tons of vba. we simply link to F:\Jenesis\Data.accdb but have played around with making the data source dynamic but have not done that yet. we have been doing it this way since 1998. we went from 2.0 to 97 to 2007. we have code on the front-end that will modify the backend tables as necessary with each update b/c our tables and fields are forever changing. we have 250 insurance agencies using this application. each agency has anywhere from 1-20 users with an average being around 4. some use local networks, others use WAN's with something like citrix or remote desktop. we have about 30 of the agenceis we host here and they access remotely. this is an overview, i welcome any questions/suggestion.

Reply from Richard Rost:

Sounds like a good solution. Have you ever given thought to running the database as a web service (since you have many remote clients)?
