Have you come across a situation, when asked to develop a database, where you are asked to duplicate a report (in appearance) in Access?  Example--currently we use a dashboard style report in Excel that I put together.  They like it and would resist a change to Access unless I could produce a similar product.  To that end I have been working on an unbound form, with textboxes/DLookup/Dsum to duplicate what i have in Excel.  Do you sway the customer your way, or can "anything" be duplicated in Excel?

You'll find that replicating the look of a form (whether it's a Word document, printed form, Excel sheet, etc.) is something that you'll get asked to do ALL THE TIME. I used to scan in forms and then use them as a background image and overlay the text boxes over them - but that usually looks sloppy. I've found that with enough time and patience, you can replicate ANY printed form in Access. The only suggestion I can really give you is just that practice makes perfect.
