Time Only on Report

I have a "Patient Encounter Sheet" that is printed out when the patient arrives at our clinic. One field that prints out is what I call the "Time In Stamp."  It is not used anywhere else nor is it to be put anywhere in the database. It is only used on the printed sheet.  I have watched your Date Only videos and cannot seem to see how I can use it as a printed field on the report. I only need it to put the hour and minutes, not the seconds or even AM/PM. Just 12:47 for example. Please tell me how to timestamp a report

Just use the Now() function and format it how you wish.

=Format(Now(),"hh:nn am/pm") for example

The advantage of using the Now() in the function above is it contains the date as well, if you ever decide you do need it, by default.

I understand the formula that you show (=Format(Now(),"hh:nn am/pm") and I do know how to use that, for example in a form, however, where do I place it on the report to have it show the time in the preview and therefore print it?

Add an unbound Text Box and enter the function in the Control Source.
