I have a report with headings that are linked to the data fields for the headings that I can't seem to get the headings aligned the way I want.  If I move the heading, the data field moves also, accomplishing nothing.  How can I unlink the heading from the data field so I can move the headings independently from the data fields?

Cut the label and paste it. That will unlink it from the textbox.
