Search Lookup Display

I have been asked to take a database and create a form or input box that you can type multiple Job numbers in Like A11030, A11025, etc and have it pull up the data stored for each, like duedate, project manager, etc and create a report to print out. I don't have any idea how to go about this could I get some help please.

It's going to be very tough to do this if you type all of the job numbers into ONE text box. You'll have to separate them somehow with your VBA code (not impossible, but it just makes things more difficult).

How many job numbers do you need to look up at one time? If we're only talking about a few, then you could just make multiple text boxes.

If you need to have a bunch of different job numbers typed in, I would make a separate search table. Enter in your job numbers into that table (you could display it as a subform on a main form). Then, you could create a query that would perform a JOIN between your search table and the job table. This query could now feed your report.

If a job number appears in your search table, it will then (by means of the join) appear in the report. You would just have to remember to clear the search table when you're done (a delete query would work).

This would be a pretty cool example to add to my Access Search Form Seminar that I have planned for next month... if you can wait until then.
