Field Value export
Alan Higgins

I would like to take a value that is a total from one form and import that value to another form field. For example, I have a financial expense form that i would like to take the total  and import that value into a banking form expense field. I have tried several methods none seems to do the job.

If the other form is open:
myField = Forms!FormName!FieldName

So i am clear, i plug this code into the criteria of the query field?

Thank you for responding, much appreciated.

I tried multiple iterations and i could not get the value to pass.  Do you have a resource that may help?

Alan did you watch the Value From a Form video Kevin pointed you to?

Is the first form open when you are filling in the total on the banking form?
You are probably going to have to post some images so we can see what you are doing.  Enter a dummy record or redact personal info as needed.  Image Uploads
It's too difficult to play 20 questions.

Yes, i did watch that Value From a Form plus Query Subform, i pretty much have it configured now except for a small issue. I have a start and end date that i search between on my form and all works well except if there aren't any values to return then the form goes blank and i have to reopen the form. Ive tried setting the default value on the date text boxes to Date() however that doesn't work. If i enter a date #01/01/2022# in the default value on the text box properties it works until the date search doesn't have any data to return between the dates selected then the form goes blank.  Hopefully this isn't to vague I don't mean to aggravate.
