Richard Alternate Background

In all your videos, you always copy the color of the background into the alternate background color.  I've always just selected "No color" in the alternate background so if I change the color I only have to do so in one place.  Is this a bad practice? Should I be putting the color in both spots?

Nope not a bad way to do it.  In fact, if you watch very carefully the later videos, Richard does just that.
You can also set up that option in the blank form and save yourself from having to do it when creating a new one.
The "No Color" option was actually pointed out by one of R's valued viewers!

Some of this is so he can show people how to do things as well.  Many haven't watched every video so contain bits and pieces repeated for those that are new to the game.

For years, i, too, have hated that alternating color on my forms/reports. I actually added the Alternate Row Color command to my QAT. Whenever i open a form or report now and click on the Detail Section, it will "activate" the Alternate Row Color button so i can use it to apply the No Color to that section.
