I would like to create an advanced search for a form. All I have done is used the wizard to create a form from one of my tables and added 2 combo box, text box field and a button in the header section of the form. One of the combo boxes is for the State and the other is for city. I have an after update filter the city depending on the State. The text box is for street names. The button is the search button that runs the search query depending on what is selected through VBA.
One issue I also have is that after I generate the sql to run the combo boxes retain the old value that was previously selected. Is there an easier way to achieve this or get the combo boxes refreshed. Because if the city is not selected, I still want to be able to search with the State and the street or just the state is the street is left blank.

Saving the previously selected value is just a matter of creating another text box (hide it if you want) with the previous SQL statement (or values). Then make a BACK button.
