Old database tables and Access 2010
Greg Beben

I have a customer who is using HP lab equipment from about 1995.  (Very expensive, so can't replace.)  The equipment produces files which are apparently in an old Access database format, like Access 2.0 maybe.  I could link to these tables with Access 2007, but 2010 is refusing to link to them.  Do you know of any program which will convert old Access files to a new format?  I can do it manually, but they have hundreds of these, and produce more all the time, so they need an automated method.  I only need the tables, no code, forms, reports, etc.

Reply from Richard Rost:

I'm VERY surprised that Access 2010 won't import Access 2.0 tables. Honestly, I haven't used Access 2.0 since the 90s myself, so it's not something I've come across. I just Google'd "access 2.0 convert" and I see there are different conversion methods to bring Access 2.0 databases up to the 2000 or 2003 format, but most of these appear to be plug-ins for those older versions of Access. Perhaps with a little more searching you can find a stand-alone app. If not, let me know and I'll try looking some more.
