Command Button Issue
Jamey Wright

Hi!

I'm having a weird issue. Whenever I close and re-open my database, my command buttons don't work (any of them). An error message comes up that says "Object or class does not support the set of events." When I click "ok," it tells me that it is error number 2950.

The weird part is that when go to Database Tools, open Visual Basic, and close it again (without doing anything in that window at all), the buttons work fine. I think it might be a security setting issue, but I can't figure out what that would be since I'm running the database out of a trusted folder.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Have you compacted and repaired the database, and ran the decompile in the code editor to see if anything sticks out?

May also try Troubleshooter

Yes, I did compact and repair it. I'm not sure what the decompile process is. I have absolutely no knowledge of VBA.

If that doesn't work, you may need to rebuild the form. There was one time I had a problem where it would ask for parameters for some combo boxes on a form the first time you opened it during that session. To fix it you just had to open the code editor window and close it. Then the combo boxes magically worked until you restarted Access. One of those really weird problems that you don't understand. I ended up just remaking the form and somehow it fixed it with the same everything involved. /shrug

If you have no VBA involved then that's probably not it. But the compile button is here in your code editor.
