Loaning Software
Eduardo Benaim

I own 5 copies of the full adobe version for my office. I would be willing to loan you a license for the Developement. The Send key is good enough but I would like to do it with vea and the api.  If you agree let me know how to send you the credentials.  Ed

No, thank you. It's against most software license agreements to "loan" your software out. I would frown upon that just as much as someone "loaning" a copy of my tutorials out. I'm pretty sure that's specifically against Adobe's licensing agreement as well.

Besides, you're the first and only person to express interest in this. So unless there's more than one person who wants to know how to do this, I wouldn't waste time on a video even if you bought me a full copy. Sorry.

Sorry, I used the word "Loan" Incorrectly.

Question: If you were doing development to be used by my Company I believe you could use a License I PAY in my Company?

In any case I pay for all my software and don't loan yours or any other to anyone.

By the way I would not mind paying for another license on your Name. You do enough for Us. I would consider it my cost of doing business. Anyway this is academic if there is no interest on your part. Let me know if you change your mind.

I see your point, and I didn't mean to insult your integrity or imply that you acted in any way inappropriate with your software licenses. I just deal with A LOT of people who are always asking me if there's some way I know that they can get free copies of Access, or they tell me that they downloaded hacked versions of Office, etc. and are looking for help. Too many bad apples out there.

I had one guy literally email me and complain that he can't get my videos working on all 20 workstations in his office. He said that if more than 3 people log on at a time the site cuts them off. Uh... yeah... it's DESIGNED to do that! LOL. He bought one copy of a bunch of lessons thinking he could train his whole staff on them. Nope. Those are the same kind of people that used to buy one copy of Office and install it on EVERY machine in their office. Sure... I don't mind if a family shares with immediate relatives, but for businesses, that's not only unethical, but illegal. I know YOU don't do that... but you'd be surprised how many people do.

Like I said before, though, it's really not something that I have time to develop unless I see some interest from other people too. I appreciate the offer, but it would be a "bottom of the bin" project at this point, and the bin is very full.

Sticking my nose in here but since it doesn't appear that this is forth coming any time soon you might consider putting in a post on the Microsoft Access Developer Network page.
It might be that one of the other developers would be willing to take on your project.

Good point, Scott. I can't see it being that difficult of a project.
