Dlookup update Table

I need to update a table  LodgeHoldersT from a Form LodgeHoldersF.  I pull in a members name, Text, from a Table called MemberT with a Combo Box.  I use Dlookup to Pull into the form the MemberT [PrimaryPhone] and then the [Email].  The LodgeHolderF form Properties is linked to LodgeHoldersT table.  The Form works great, but the data from [PrimaryPhone] and then the [Email] does not update into the LodgeHoldersT Table.

Bind the fields to the fields in the Table and put your DLookups in the After Update event of the Combo Box.

Use an Update Queries or a CurrentDB.Execute SQL statement

Hello Kevin,  Are not the Form LodgeHoldersF all ready Bound to the Table LodgeHoldersT.  I show that in the Form Properties of the LodgeHoldersF.

I think I misread your question, you have fields for phone and e-mail in the lodge table but want to get the values for them from the members table?

That seems like data redundancy, why not just store the memberID instead in the lodge table and set up a relationship to have all the fields?

This particular table is used in slightly different queries all over new special Reports.  I do not want to redesign the previous object if possible.  Plus there are issues of ranking that are difficult to do in the Basic Member Table.  Also as a member can have multiple offices sometimes.

Holders LodgeT will store the three fields needed to identify the members assigned each office each year.  I use the member's name with a combo box that takes the data from the [FullName] field from Table MemberT. I then use two Dlookups to bring into the form from the MemberT table [PrimaryPhone] and [Email] into the form.  But I cannot update the Form data into the HoldersLodgeT.  I'm just working in Expert 19 level and tried to Bind the fields to the fields in the Table (See my Snips) and put your DLookups in the After Update event of the Combo Box.  Does not work.  Can you look and see where I have not done this correctly.  Again thank for your help.

Change the Control Source of the fields to the field names, not the DLookup functions.
