Tex Box character limit
John Muir

In a report I created a text box: =[List cash payments].

Tried printing and the parameter =[List cash payments] poped up. However, when i entered 5 lines, only the first line showed in the report.

I don't want to created another field because the data in the text box changes.

is there a way to increase the capacity of the text box or another way to do this?

Thanks,

John

I assigned Can Grow and thought that would work, but doesn't help.

I copied the text i want, 5 lines, and pasted into the parameter - result is only the first line shows up.

Are you trying to list the payments made on an order?
You could use Grouping or a Subreport.

Not so much an order. More of a contract.

I have a settlement document with 7 or 8 paragraphs. One of the paragraphs contains the payments to be made:

$10,000 to parents
$20,000 to minor's trust
$15,000 to attorneys

So i copy the above and paste into the text box parameter [List cash payments] and only see the first line in the report.

Hi John, parameters don't allow multi-line user entries.  You need a textbox for that.  Create a form, put a textbox on it, and you may put a button on the form to run the report if you prefer (or you may run the report some other ways).  Then add VBA code to the report that copies data from the form's textbox (which contains the user entry) to the report's textbox.
