Im having a frustrating problem with passing data from a master input form to a lookup table.  All of the information that I have found is, I have to open a separate form to add the data to that table.  My database is a Library database, and when Im adding books, I want to add Authors which are in a lookup table as I have collections of books by the same author.  However, when I have new book and a new author, I have to go to a separate form to append that author to the lookup table then continue with an edit to the data that I have just added.  The same applies to the Subject Table.  (Note: There are three fields each of Authors and Subjects within the Primary table.)  I cannot find a way to pass the information from the main table back to the lookup table on the fly (after update method).

Can you help me?
