I am working on the u tube video for building a customer database and invoice system. My problem is that my order detail form will not allow me to enter any new information. It is only showing what I put into the Order detail table and not updating from the form. I am using a continuous form for this and wondering if maybe I have a setting that is turned off.

In the form properties, on the Data tab make sure Allow Additions is set to Yes.

I had a similar issue when using a cont. form and the properties were set correctly. Turned out it was due to having a relationship in the query.... Can't exactly explain what went wrong but (Assuming you are basing off a query), open up the query and see if you can add data there. If not, its an issue with the relationship in that query
