Just created two new databases. When I create a query and try to enter the word "Like" in the criteria the word changes to Alike and query fails. This happens in my two newest projects. In all my old databases I don't have this problem.

Sounds like you have changed the default syntax to ANSI-92. To change it to standard Access SQL syntax: -Close all database objects. -Click File, then Options. -Click Object Designers. -Clear the check box labelled "This database" (and if you wish, "Default for new databases") under SQL Server compatible syntax (ANSI 92) in the Query design section. -Click OK

Thanks, I don't know how that was changed. This is my first time entering the Object Designers area.
