I have an earlier version of access where I could run a macro based on beginning and ending date criteria that would produce a report and save it as a pdf in a predetermined file location, but I have been unable to copy it and get it to run in my latest version of access.

We need a whole lot more info to try and help you. Probably will need some screen captures as well.
1 What version was it working under? Need to see what you had that worked.
2 When copying it to the new Access (Are you using Office 365 now?)
3 What errors are you getting?
4 Did you stay with the same "Bitness" as the old version or install 64bit? see 64-Bit Access
