Success with simultaenous multiple users
Unico

I'm posting in hopes that this information is helpful to others who have benefited from Richard's superb tutorials and completed their database, only to find out, as I did, that the recipient the database was intended for does not have an existing dedicated server.

My client did not want to spend any money buying a server, licenses, etc., so it fell to me to make sure my database was able to be used. Unfortunately, I'm a complete amateur, and could not figure out a cost-effective way to do this. My last hope was emailing Richard for any advice he could give, and he certainly came through for me!

Richard's advice worked like a charm. Granted, it took me 11 days to correctly set up, but this method works perfectly. What he suggested was using a Remote Desktop Connection with Windows Server 2008 Standard. The first is already on your computer under Start> All Programs> Accessories, and the latter can be downloaded from Microsoft's website (you can't use the Express version for this, but you can download Standard as a trial). I simply installed Windows Server 2008 on an old computer, used trial and error (mostly error) to configure settings, and now multiple users can log simultaneously from any location!

So I hope this helps someone, and Richard: THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
