Ok thank you sir this can be sorted out if there is a way of using a pass-thru queries for combo boxes that is where the slowness is coming from. I have your example in my course but unfortunately it does not deal with the Combo boxes, If I can know how to link the combo box record source to the pass-through queries, that will sots out my problem.

I will appreciate your time if you can assist on this pass-through query via VBA open record set

Just create the pass-thru query and use that as the rowsource for the combo box.
