Calculate Equipment Cost
James Hopkins

Hey, I have created an "Equipment Cost Calculator Form", but I can't figure out how to calculate the "Total Acquisition Cost for Term" if Financed or "Acquisition Value" if Owned in Access.

Also, how to retieve the Data from the Table or Query if you open the "Calculator Form" from the "Equipment Form" when the form is in "Edit Mode" or in "Add Mode". Should the calculator be saved in the Table after Query Calculations for Viewing the Data in the Form. What is the Best Way to Make this done Correctly?

Do anyone know the best way to achieve this. I Google ways, but all the formulas calculations come out wrong.

If Equipment Financed - AcquisitionValue: Round([NetPrice]/[FinanceTermMonths],2)+[NetPrice]-[SalvageResidualValue]

AcquisitionValue: [PurchasePriceWTaxAdmin]*[FinanceRateAnnual]+[PurchasePriceWTaxAdmin]-[Downpayment]/([FinanceTermMonths]/2)

If Equipment Owned - AcquisitionValue: (([PurchasePriceWTaxAdmin]*[MarketFinanceRateAnnual])*([ExpectedLifeofEquipmentYears]/2)+[PurchasePriceWTaxAdmin])-[ResaleValueatEndofLife]

Oh okay Kevin, if I was writing VBA Code into an "OpenEquipCalculatorButton". I would write it: DoCmd.OpenForm EquipmentCalcalutionF.EquipmentCalculationSubF , , "EquipmentID=" & EquipmentID , acFormEdit ? Cause I have built an Form with a Sub that can switch between the two Calculation Forms: "Equip Owned" or "Equip Financed". I am trying open the correct Form where the "EquipmentID" match the Parent Form "EquipmentID".

Hey Guys, I got the calculations correctedfor the "Equip Owned/Financed Acquisition Value. I just have gotten the Form to open to the correct Subform with the Save Calculations in the Table.

Correction Guys, I did figured out the calculations for the "Equip Owned & Financed Acquisition Values" formula. I just have not gotten the Form to open to the correct Subform with the right Saved Calculations.
