Adding Subform to Customer For

Hello,

In Access Expert 3 Lesson 3 Contact Subform at time index 6:59, the Subform Wizard looks different than the one on my computer.

After I select Use an Existing Form (ContactSubformF) and click Next, the wizard goes right to Finish...I don't see another screen asking me which fields I would like to link to the main form. Using Microsoft 365, Access default file 2007-2016 64 bit.

Please see attached image.

Thank you - Mike M

That video was recorded in 2013 using Access 2010.  Richard is slowly updating the courses but it takes tons of time.

The methodology demonstrated in the video is still relevant, even though the interface of Access has changed version over version.

The Subforms TechHelp is a bit more modern and should match your version more closely.

Also take a look at the Contacts video.

Do you mean actually select the linked fields manually?
Select the Define my own option button.

Ok I started the Subform over and found the problem - a missing space in my SQL statement.

I had typed SELECT* FROM ContactT instead of SELECT * FROM ContactT

It also explains why I was receiving the mismatched control source error.
