Rest Page numbering in page footer

I tried an earlier recommendation, "Reset Page Numbering", but I am not able to get it to work. Are there caveats to it? Can the default page field be present? The report successfully breaks on store number, but the paging does not reset with each new store. It stays set at 1 for every page. The default page field does increment correctly.
