I don't use Navigation Forms, which have been around a while, I'm sure, as they take away the control you get from creating your own 'Main Menu'. Something Rich said quite a while ago if memory serves.

It sounds like you are using a value from an open form and passing to the next form you open which now isn't the case with the Nav form.

Check what code is ran and add that to the new nav form button clicks or the better solution is to create your own Navigation Form.
Now you can have full control, extra unecessary code isn't added behind the scenes if it works like it use to and you know exactly what you've done to achieve db created.
