I have one table with "ContactsID" (autonumber) and another table with "ContactsID" (short text). I didn't discover I had done this until I ran into a Type Mismatch. But now, I can't change the field type from short text to number because I keep getting the error the field is part of a relationship.

I have deleted that relationship, but I still get the same answer from Database Tools > Relationships. I added every table just to make sure there wasn't a stray connection. But no stray connections to the ContactsID field were shown. Still got the error.

I rejoined the two original fields and then deleted the relationship thinking maybe something glitched when I deleted the relationship the first time. No dice.

I even did a compact and repair to be sure it wasn't just a corruption glitch--still get the error.

I checked all the queries. Still nothing.

Where is this invisible relationship? Any ideas?
