subforms not updating properly
Yonatan Weinberg

I have two subform in a main form the left subform has a list of products & the right subform is a form with the price for each product and the date it was updated.
What I want is, that when I click on a product in the ProductSubF on the left the PriceUpdateSubF on the right should filter and show me the Prices and the dates they were updated for that specific product

Thanks Sandra I watched that video I tried replicating it but it didn't update when I clicked on a product, I had to first click on the product then on the price update then click update all

Thank you Dan but I'm not looking for cascading combo boxes, I'm looking to have two subforms that correspond to each other so that when I click the product subform the price update subform shows all the relevant data for that specific product for that specific supplier automatically

Have you tried putting a in the Product On Click Event either Parent!PriceUpdateSubF.Requery or Forms!MainFormName!PricueUpdateSubF.Requery? Just trying to help until one of the experts chime in.

Thank you very much for your help Sandra it is really appreciated,

I tried both and it still doesn't work, I put the statements on the subform in the left which is the form with the list of products yet it didn't update afterwards when I clicked on an Item.

Okay, this works on one of my forms.  Create an unbound textbox on the parent form and call it MasterID. Set it's control source to

= ProductSubF!ProductID (or whatever your ID is called)

Then on the PriceUpdateSubF, go to the subform's properties (be sure to click the edge of the subform, and not the square in the corner) and under the Data Tab set the Link Master Field to MasterID, and the Link Child Field to ProductID (or whatever your ID is called).

Correction.  The right code control source for the Master ID is

= ProductSubF.Form!ProductID (or whatever your ID is called)
