Simple form needs simple age

I have gone over all the lessons including the ones that Richard teaches on using the query to create an age.  However, I would like to have a simple way to add an age without using a query. My customer table has a field named DateOfBirth. Using that and the Date() signifying today's date can I put something in the after update field of the  DateOfBirth field that would place the age on the form?

Add an unbound Text Box to your form (give it a good name (I will use myAge)) then in the AfterUpdate event add:

myAge = Formula from the age video

See the Calculate Age page.

Down toward the bottom is a Methods section.
The good enough method is all you need.  Just place it on your form in a text box and substitute out the name of your field for the [DOB].  Cant get much easier.

Watch the video again if you need to.  (They don't wear out -- LOL)

If you are not sure what Kevin and I are speaking about you can see an example of how to add it to the form in the Association 8 Extended Cut video.  Right around the 21 min time frame.
