Selling custom Access app

I have a custom music cataloging database built with Access (.accdr) which I am selling via Gumroad. I have links on the sales page to download Access Runtime 2016 for those who do not have the full Access program on their PC. I also have a link to download addpath2016.exe file with the description "Executing this file adds the necessary Trusted Location registry files to avoid having a security notice window opening every time you run Classical Works dB.

Has anyone had success selling a custom Access database in this manner? I tried purchasing an add to run on a classical music website, but they said they don't accept adds which require additional downloads other than the program itself.

I also made an attempt to learn SQL Lite to create this database, but after all the work I put into the Access DB, I just don't want or have the time to learn SQL.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Many thanks.

What front end would you use with SQLite?

Alex, thanks for your prompt reply. I apologize for not responding until now. The answer to your question is - I don't know. That's because I have not learned SQLite. I know people have marketed custom Access databases. I bought one some years ago. Since I already had Access installed, using the database was quick and easy. I guess the matter here is that if someone wants to purchase my custom Access database for cataloging music collections and they don't have Access installed on the machine, they would have to download Access Runtime, end of story. I get the feeling that would turn people off who want to purchase the database. I don't know why, but is that your impression? Many thanks.

It's not really any different to them installing your custom app if you were going to write the UI yourself, plus if you made a .NET front end it'll be a massive amount of work for you to undertake. Another option is a website then anyone can use it with a browser.
