Even though I've been at this database and VBA thing for years from time to time I come up with some new issue leaving me scratching my head.

I have a VBA search issue I've not encountered before. I've looked at the other posts reagrding "Run-time error '3075':" here on the forum and not seen anything comparable to the issue I am having.

My VBA is written per the great instruction given by Rick Rost from his Access Search Seminar courses.

In my VBA I have the following syntax -


If OEMPartNameCombo <> "" And Not IsNull(OEMPartNameCombo) Then
If Wh <> "" Then Wh = Wh & " " & AndOrCombo & " "
Wh = Wh & "PartName =" & OEMPartNameCombo & ""
End If


The search is executed by the following VBA syntax -


DoCmd.OpenForm "PartSearchListFM", , , Wh


Upon the execution of the search the error pops up with the following detail -


Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression 'PartName =Generic, XYZ'.


The OEMPartNameCombo field contains many data entries with a comma in the data string for a given entry and this is a technical requirement that the comma be in the data.

How do I overcome this issue? (thank you in advance for your help.)
