Tracking changes in a database
Frederick Fisher

I have put together over 20 databases in the past 20 years and I never really had a way to keep track of changes in each database and when they took place. I started tracking this information in a table and a form sourced on that table. I started with version 00.010 and in one database I am up to version 08.725. Is this a good way to do this or is there a better way? Each application also has a splash screen that uses the version table as the data source. I did this so that the most recent version will automatically display on the splash screen.

Is this a good way to do this or is there a better way?

I'd use a Version Control System - VCS / GitHub
This way you can easily view the changes of any object you make in database.

Alex, Thanks for the info. I was looking for a simpler option. These databases will have maybe 3 users each at most and are small to moderate applications. I am the only person making changes in the databases and I already do a backup before each version change and it is stored on an NAS drive on my network. I only make changes when requested by the user or I fix a bug or add a feature.

Even if it's just the export, it's only a few clicks with the AddIn, might be worth doing that as your backup.
Can always look at the git side later.
