Report Print Preview

Hi

My form has a command button to open a report in print preview, but i also have my forms open in maximised, with no ribbons and no navigation. Just the min, max and close. SO when they use the print button i have the ribbon appear so they can use the print and export functions. One of the options is close printpreview. But by default the users want to use the exit on the top right of the screen which in turn shuts the database down.

A) do i need to educate them to use the print preview?
B) is there a way that when they click on close, it instead just closes the print preview?

Thanks

I would educate them. There's no easy way to control the main windows control bar X on the Access Program.

There should be a second X under the top right X though if your maximized. That would close just the report. Teach them to push that.

I've got a video coming out later today in fact that shows how to prevent this with a couple lines of code. It's been on my list for a while but I think I'll use your example for it.

@Adam - Thanks i think we are going to go down the route of training anyway.
@Rich - Thanks for the Vid that will help a ton with preventing premature closing of the database. Also, just wanted to say thanks for all your vids, it really helped with righting this database and taught me a ton.
